The Lake Como Villa From House of Gucci is Now on Airbnb
Between Lady Gaga and Adam Driver, Jared Leto and Al Pacino, House of Gucci has plenty of star power, but the real scene stealer isn’t an actor at all—it’s the fabulous Italian setting, including Villa Balbiano. The home, which belongs to Al Pacino’s character, Aldo Gucci, in the film that enters theaters today, is a gorgeous Lake Como residence that was built in the 16th century. Now, the mansion will be open to book on Airbnb for a special one-night stay in March of 2022.
The six bedroom, six bathroom villa is one of the largest private residences on Lake Como and it takes full advantage of all that space with a slew of unique decorations sourced from Christie’s and Sotheby’s. 17th century frescoes can be found throughout the home, but even the relatively understated plaster walls are stunning. The luxurious atmosphere continues through the marble bathrooms that feature gilded gold mirrors and accents and at least one deep soak tub for peak relaxation.
It’s easy enough to get swept up in the beauty of the antique-filled interiors, but the property’s exterior has plenty to offer, too. Its spot on Lake Como, and accompanying private pier and boathouse, gives guests exclusive access to one of the largest lakes in Italy. The property’s impressive gardens—where, in the film, Maurizio Gucci (Driver) and his new bride Patrizia Reggiani (Gaga) reconnect with the Gucci family at an eccentric party for Aldo’s birthday—were distinguished by the British Society of Garden Designers and surround fountains and a swimming pool.
The stay will take place on March 30, 2022 and is open to one guest and a plus one. Guests will have access to the home’s first four floors and the aforementioned copious outdoor amenities. Available on Airbnb, the cost of the one night stay is $1125 and bookings open on Monday, December 6th at 12pm EST, so mark your calendars.
