Hiroki Muraoka’s 'Bright Moments' Exhibition Celebrates Everyday Joys Through Skate-Inspired Art
Tokyo-based artist and professional skateboarder Hiroki Muraoka is set to unveil his first solo exhibition, Bright Moments, at The Little Hut in Taipei. Running from May 17 to June 1, the exhibition features a series of vivid, flat-based figurative paintings that encapsulate the warmth and happiness found in everyday life.
Muraoka, known for his collaborations with brands like adidas and Traffic, draws inspiration from his experiences in skateboarding culture. The artworks portray whimsical scenes, such as a skater receiving a boost from a school bus and serene bathhouse moments, reflecting both real and imagined joyful instances. Through this exhibition, Muraoka aims to share the simple pleasures that often go unnoticed, inviting viewers to pause and appreciate the brightness surrounding them.
Bright Moments will be on display at The Little Hut, located at No. 73, Lane 161, Section 1, Dunhua South Road, Da’an District, Taipei City, Taiwan 106
