El diseño de Villa Ottsjö se caracteriza por tres volúmenes de tejado a dos aguas interconectados, cada uno ligeramente desplazado para seguir los contornos naturales del terreno. Esta disposición no solo maximiza las vistas panorámicas de las montañas circundantes, sino que también asegura que la estructura se integre perfectamente en su entorno. El diseño se inspira en la estética tradicional de los graneros, evidente en sus tejados inclinados y el revestimiento minimalista, pero se adapta a la topografía y las condiciones climáticas específicas del lugar.

Materiality and Craftsmanship

In a commitment to sustainability and local craftsmanship, the villa is constructed using untreated Swedish pine sourced from forests approximately 140 kilometers away. This choice of material allows the exterior to naturally weather over time, enhancing its integration with the landscape. The interior spaces are designed to be both functional and inviting, with a central footbridge connecting the distinct volumes, facilitating fluid movement and communication throughout the home.
