Simpul Studio has reimagined Hibrew Coffee & Cuisine, a six-year-old neighborhood café in West Java, Indonesia, evolving it into a modern and inviting gathering space while honoring its original house-like charm. Rather than altering the building's structure, the studio introduced subtle but effective elements—punched openings, layered transparent and frosted glass, and linear accents—to refresh the facade and harmonize with the existing pitched roof. Stepping inside, the café embraces a calm, grounded atmosphere through its refined material palette. Muted grey walls, glossy black ceramic flooring, and a warm teak-wood ceiling form a serene backdrop. Natural light filters through enlarged windows and skylights, painting shifting patterns across the space.
