Bamboo decor and ideas

Bamboo home

Bamboo is such a versatile plant, and it's one of my favorites. It grows quickly and easily, so you can have a whole landscape in no time at all. And while some people may think bamboo is just for landscaping, you can also use it to decorate your home! Here are some ideas for decorating with bamboo:

Bamboo furniture

Bamboo furniture is a great option for those who want to add a natural look to their home. Bamboo is durable, easy to clean and maintain, and comes in many different styles.

Bamboo wall covering

Bamboo wall covering is an easy way to add a natural look to your home. It's durable, affordable, and easy to install.

Bamboo wall covering is a great way to add a natural look to your home. Bamboo has been used for centuries in Asia as an alternative construction material because of its strength, durability and cost-effectiveness compared with wood species natively found in those areas (such as bamboo). With today’s technology advancements, bamboo can now be used as floor coverings in residential homes or businesses with minimal maintenance needed over time requiring little more than simple vacuuming or sweeping up dust along with periodic mopping when cleaning spills such as water that may occur during normal use conditions within any household setting such as bathrooms with showers; kitchen countertops; dining room tables; etcetera (see our video on YouTube entitled 'How To Clean Your Bamboo Floor').

Bamboo wall covering adds a natural touch without having to worry about splinters from certain woods like cedar which contain sap which can irritate skin but does not cause allergic reactions unlike some other types like pine where there might be more chance for irritation if allergies exist because the sap contains resins which are known allergens when inhaled directly into one’s nose by those who suffer from asthma symptoms triggered by these substances."

Bamboo flooring

Bamboo flooring is a great alternative to wood, especially if you're looking for something that is easy to install and durable. Bamboo is also one of the most sustainable materials on the planet, so it's a great choice for green-minded home owners.

Bamboo flooring comes in planks or tiles, which means it can be used in any space from kitchens and bathrooms to living rooms and bedrooms—including high traffic areas like entryways! If you're interested in bamboo flooring but aren't sure where to start, here are some tips for choosing wisely:

Bamboo chandelier

If you're looking for a way to add a touch of nature and elegance to your home, consider purchasing a bamboo chandelier. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants on earth, so it's plentiful and easy to obtain. It also looks great in any room of the house, especially if you have an Asian-inspired theme going on.

Bamboo flower arrangements

Bamboo flower arrangements are a great way to add a natural touch to your home. These flowers are easy to make, and can be made in many different sizes and shapes. You can use these flowers for anything from wedding bouquets to centerpieces for dinner tables at parties.

Bamboo is perfect for making flower arrangements because it grows very quickly, so you won't have to wait long before you're ready for a new arrangement. If you want an arrangement that's large enough for an entire room, just cut several long stalks of bamboo until they're all connected together into one big piece! The best part about using this technique is that it doesn't require any glue or other adhesives: You simply place each stalk next to another one after making sure they're touching tightly enough together so there aren't any gaps between them!

Bamboo table legs

Bamboo table legs are a great way to add a natural look to your furniture. Bamboo is a renewable resource, and the bamboo used in these legs is FSC-certified, meaning it comes from sustainably managed forests.

These bamboo table legs are easy to install and come with all necessary hardware for mounting on any table top up to 2" thick or overhang 3" from the wall.

Bamboo table legs can be used as an alternative for metal or wood legs, adding some unique style to your desk or sideboard!

Bamboo decor in your home will add a new look to your home.

Bamboo is an amazing natural material that can be used in your home decor. It's renewable, sustainable and beautiful. Bamboo has been used for thousands of years because it's such a strong and durable material, plus it has many other benefits:

  • Natural - Bamboo is a natural resource you can use to create some beautiful pieces for your home.

  • Sustainable - Bamboo grows quickly and if planted in the right area, will continue to grow long after it was harvested from its original source. This means that you're helping the environment by using bamboo products in your home!

  • Versatile - Bamboo can be used to make many different types of furniture because it's so flexible and soft on the touch (which makes it great for seating). You'll also find plenty of other uses for this versatile material like chairs, tables or even curtains made out of bamboo fibers!

Conclusion

Bamboo has many uses in the home, and it’s a great way to add a new look to your home. You can use bamboo as furniture, flooring or even decor. Bamboo is a great material because it doesn’t require much care or maintenance and it's also very durable! So why not check out some of these ideas today?

Small camper van interior ideas

camper van interior

If you've ever wanted to get into the RV lifestyle but don't have the space for a big rig, then you might be interested in a camper van. These vehicles offer all the same conveniences as larger RVs—like kitchens and sleeping areas—but with more portability and more savings on fuel costs. But how do you make these tiny spaces livable? We'll show you how!

A custom-made bench that acts as a couch or storage space

A custom-made bench that acts as a couch or storage space

The idea of converting a bench into something more useful like a couch is something that many people have already done, especially if they have limited space in the camper. If you are interested in making your own custom-sized bench, there are many ways to go about doing it. You could use reclaimed wood from old pallets, repurposed materials such as foam or other soft material used for cushions on the inside of your camper van and then cover those with recycled fabrics or repurposed blankets and pillows. You can also use reclaimed materials like old chairs or parts of broken furniture that you find at thrift stores and craft fairs to create a unique piece of furniture that really stands out from all others

Bunk beds

If you want to maximize space, bunk beds are a great option. In a small camper van, the bed is typically going to be the largest piece of furniture. If you have two people sleeping in it, then it needs to be big enough for both of them and any gear they may have (like backpacks or suitcases). Even if only one person sleeps in the bed at a time, having more than one person using it regularly means that there's extra weight on every night. A bunk bed design can also serve as storage during the day when not being used as a bedroom; although this will mean less room for activities in your camper van.

Bunk beds come in many styles: wooden or metal frames with mattress supports; foldable designs; even plastic frames with built-in drawers underneath for storing things like clothing and linens. Camper vans are usually well insulated against heat loss so heat isn't much of an issue but keep in mind that some bunks will absorb more noise than others due to their construction materials (metal vs wood).

A hinged table that can also act as a bed

A hinged table that can also act as a bed is the best of both worlds. You can fold it up and away when you need room to move around, or unfold it for meals or even lounging. It's also useful for storing things out of sight (or at least out of reach) while traveling in your van. When it's time for sleep, just pull down the table and use it as a mattress!

Curtains for privacy and light blocking

Curtains for privacy and light blocking

If you have windows in your camper van, curtains can be used to create a sense of home. Curtains can also be used to cover up windows if you’re in an area where it might not feel safe to leave them open while you sleep. The curtains I bought were made from the same fabric as my bedding–they look great together!

A sink with a pressurized water system

A pressurized water system is an efficient, compact way to have running water in your camper van. It's also one of the first things you should install. If you have a small kitchen sink in your van, it will be much easier to connect the pressurized water system to that than it would to install one on top of a large cooking surface. The other advantage of putting a pressurized system under your sink is that there's less chance of leaks or flooding if something goes wrong with the system.

If you're planning on installing a small kitchen sink and want running water beneath it, there are a few things you need:

  • A tank that holds 16 gallons (60 liters) or more (the larger the tank, the better)

  • A pressure pump capable of supplying more than 8 gallons per minute at 80 psi (559 kPa) - most pumps for RV applications are designed for this purpose

  • A check valve - this prevents backflow into the pump when there's no flow through it from another source

A portable fridge and stove

If you want to save space and make your camper van more efficient, look for a portable fridge and stove. These will be more energy efficient than built-in models, which can get really costly to run.

You'll need two 12 volt power sources — one for the fridge and another for the stove top — but they're easy to install in most camper vans (and if they don't come with outlets, they're often quite affordable). If you have a small camper van interior already, these appliances will fit nicely on one side of the vehicle or even under the bench seat in front of where you sit while driving.

An over-the-cab bed to maximize floor space

If you are thinking about buying a new camper van, one of the first things you should consider is whether to go with an over-the-cab bed. This is a great option for those who don’t have enough space in their vans and need as much floor space as possible.

An over-the-cab bed isn't that hard to install, but it does require some planning and work. The first thing you must do is decide where exactly on your van's ceiling you want your mattress to rest. If there are vents or other items near the spot where you'd like your mattress, this could affect how comfortable it will be when sleeping up there (and whether or not it will fit). You also need to make sure that there's enough clearance above the cab area so that no part of your body will hit anything while lying down or sitting up in bed mode! Once these conditions have been met and all measurements taken into account, installing an over-the-cab bed involves simply removing some sheet metal screws from around the outside edges of where they're going up against each other - making sure they're screwed back into place once finished! You'll also want some padding underlay inside so that when someone sits down on top of them (which happens frequently), they won't feel any hard spots underneath them - otherwise known as "sharp rocks." And finally make sure everything looks nice before putting everything back together again once installation is complete:

Lots of customizable storage solutions in the kitchen, bed, and all around the van

You can really customize your storage options to fit your needs. You might have a lot of bedding or even camp gear, so it’s important to make sure you have enough space for that.

One of the best ways we found was by using these cabinets from sliding door track hardware. They are great because they come with lots of different lengths and you can make them as tall or short as you want depending on what size cabinet fits in the van! They also come in different finishes like white and black so they match with most vans!

Small camper vans can have all the amenities of an RV with some clever design work.

If you're interested in the idea of a small camper van, it's important to keep in mind that this type of vehicle is often made to be used as a living space. Because of this, many owners choose to customize their vehicles with all the amenities expected from an RV. The most important thing to consider when customizing your small camper van is keeping it lightweight and efficient so that you can get up steep hills and accelerate quickly on the road.

Another way to add more storage space is by adding accessories like bike racks or cargo boxes on top of your vehicle. These types of accessories tend to be lightweight and easy-to-install but they can still provide extra storage space while allowing easy access into your vehicle if necessary.

Conclusion

If you’re an avid camper or someone who wants to travel more, a small camper van might be the perfect way to do it. These vans can be customized to your liking and make it easier than ever to go on adventures with friends and family. The best part is that these vehicles are so versatile that they can be used for many different activities without sacrificing comfort or luxury.

How to use macrame hanging plants when decorating your home

Macrame hanging plant

If you're looking for a way to spruce up your home decor with a bit of eco-friendly flair, I've got the perfect DIY project for you. It's called macrame hanging plants. Macrame is basically rope that has been used for centuries in different cultures throughout history for things like tying knots and making baskets. The word "macrame" actually comes from an Arabic word meaning "helper" or "helping hand." And that's exactly what these simple plant holders will do for your plants: help them grow by providing light, heat, humidity and nutrients—all while looking stunningly chic hanging from a ceiling or doorway!

Buy your materials

Before you begin, be sure to have all of the materials you need. You'll need:

  • Enough macrame cord to make a circle that is large enough to fit your plant pot

  • A plant pot and a plant (or two!)

  • Macrame tools and any other items you may need for finishing touches on your project

Make your first knot

Plants

If you are new to macrame, start with a square knot. The square knot is the most basic and useful macrame stitch. It is used to join two cords together but can also be used along the length of a piece to create a fringe effect.

To make a square knot, lay one cord over another so that it lies horizontally across the top of the second cord and form an X shape with loops pointing downward on both sides (see diagram 1). Take hold of each tail about 2 inches from its end; place one under your thumb and take hold of its other end with your index finger (see diagram 2). Move your thumb toward you while pulling down both ends at once (see diagram 3). Repeat this process until there are six or seven complete knots before cutting off excess material from tails.

Wrap the plant pot

You'll want to wrap the plant pot with your string, so that it's completely covered. You can use a pencil or pen to help you wrap the plant pot. Then tie your end of the string into a knot on top of your wrapped plant pot.

A great tip is to place some extra strands around each side of the wrapped plant pot and then secure them with another knot at the bottom. This will give it more stability and keep it from toppling over in high winds!

Make the rest of the knots on your plant holder

The rest of the knots are easy to make. You'll just be repeating what you did in step 5, except that this time around, you're going to tie a knot on every end of your rope. If you don't do this, the macrame hanging plant holder will fall apart and your plant will drop to the floor—and probably break.

To keep track of where each end should go, I like to use different colored string or rope for each one. So if I'm making a larger macrame hanging plant holder than usual (say about 2 feet across), then I'd cut three strings about 6 inches long and tie them together with a simple overhand knot at one end before starting my work in steps 1-5 above). Then when it comes time for me to make those last few knots using that single strand of color-coded string/rope again? Well let's just say we've got ourselves some good luck charms here!

Anyone can learn how to make a macrame hanging planter!

Macrame is a fun and easy craft that you can do with just a little bit of practice. It's also a great way to organize your plants, because it allows them to hang freely in any size or shape. You can make macrame hanging planters out of any material, from rope to yarn, which makes them versatile enough to work in any room of the house!

macrame hanging plant

So, there you have it! It’s not hard to make your own macrame hanging planter. All you need are some good materials, a little practice and patience. If you follow these steps, we promise you’ll end up with a beautiful plant holder that will make any room more interesting!

How to clean marble and marble tables

Marble Table

Marble is a popular building material because it's easy to work with and looks great. Marble is also the same stone that marble countertops are made from, but the thickness is much less. The problem with cleaning marble tables is that it can be more challenging than cleaning granite because many people mistakenly think all you have to do is wipe down their surface with water or some other cleaner. That's not true! There's a lot more involved in cleaning any type of stone table top, let alone one made from marble—especially if your table was sealed at the factory.

Marble is a popular building material. It's often used for countertops, floors and other building materials because of its attractive appearance and durability. Marble is often used in bathrooms and kitchens because it's easy to clean and maintain.

You can clean marble with a wet/dry vacuum cleaner or with a damp microfiber cloth or dish towel. To avoid scratching the surface of your marble, don't use anything abrasive on it, such as steel wool pads or scouring powders.

Marble is a metamorphic rock, meaning that it's formed from other rocks through heat and pressure. Marble is also a sedimentary rock—it forms as layers of calcareous sediments (composed of calcium carbonate) are compressed over time. It's also crystalline in structure, which means that its grains are arranged into a patterned molecular structure; this type of structure makes marble hardier than other types of stone.

While marble is technically composed of calcite minerals like limestone and limestone itself can be classified as a type of marble due to the presence of calcite within it, not all marbles are made up entirely or primarily by calcite minerals. There are many different varieties including onyx marbles which contain black or white bands caused by iron oxide impurities; travertine marbles whose colors range from yellow-golden browns to greenish grays depending on their origins; juraite marbles with light gray coloration because they contain ferrous silicate crystals; plus many others with their own unique properties!

Cleaning marble can be more challenging than cleaning granite.

Marble is a beautiful stone that has been used in architecture and design since ancient times. However, while it may look stunning on your table top or in your bathroom, marble can be more challenging to clean than granite.

Marble is softer than granite and therefore scratches more easily. It's also more porous than granite, so it absorbs liquids faster and stains more easily as well.

If you have marble furniture at home or in your office space then here are some tips for keeping them looking like new:

Here's how to clean marble and marble tables without ruining them.

Marble Table

  • Use a soft cloth.

  • Make sure it's clean and wrinkle-free.

  • You can use a mild detergent, but be careful not to get any of the cleaning solution on the marble itself; that will damage it.

  • Use a soft brush like one used for dusting wood furniture or paneling if you have one handy (it doesn't have to be new).

  • Clean in small sections at a time—no more than eight inches across—so you don't spread dirt around too much while cleaning.

  • Use non-abrasive cleaners like Murphy's Oil Soap or vinegar diluted with warm water if you're trying to remove grime from your marble surface instead of just stains caused by food spills and other liquids that have been spilled onto it

How to know if your table is sealed

The easiest way to determine whether your table is sealed is to look at the bottom of it. If there's a label, it'll say whether it's sealed or unsealed. Unsealed marble tables will have a glossy finish; sealed marble will have a matte finish.

If you can't find a label on your table, another good trick is to run your hand over the surface and check out how smooth or course it feels. Sealed marble has less traction than unsealed, so if you feel like something's sticky beneath your palm (or fingertips), then chances are high that this piece isn't protected by any sealant whatsoever—and therefore needs some attention ASAP!

How to clean unsealed marble

  • Use a soft cloth or sponge to scrub the marble surface. Avoid using abrasives, as they may scratch the marble's surface and make it appear dull.

  • Apply mild dish detergent to your cloth or sponge and use warm water to wash the marble countertop. If you have particularly stubborn stains, apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly onto the stain before washing with water and your cleaning cloth or sponge.

  • Dry your marble with a clean towel once you're done cleaning it up!

There are ways to clean marble without ruining it.

There are many ways to clean marble without ruining it. You can use a soft sponge and warm water, but this method doesn't always work well on heavily soiled marble surfaces. A microfiber cloth is another great option because it's safe for all types of stone and will not scratch or damage the surface of your marble piece.

If you want to be extra cautious about what you're using to clean your marble, consider picking up some kind of marble cleaner that’s made specifically for cleaning this type of stone. A mixture of vinegar in water also works well as an alternative solution when cleaning marble surfaces; however, make sure not to use too much vinegar (or any other acidic solution) when cleaning your surface because acids may cause damage over time due to their corrosive nature!

Final thoughts

Marble can be a beautiful addition to your home, but it needs to be cared for properly. If you have marble counters or tables in your home, cleaning them is a lot of work. However, with the right supplies and techniques you can keep them looking great!

How to pick the right wooden chair

Wooden chair

Are you looking for the perfect wooden chair? You're not alone. Wooden chairs are one of the most popular furniture pieces in homes across the world, and they come in all shapes and sizes. But with so many different woods available and so many different styles, it can be tricky to find the right one—especially if you don't know what to look for! In this article, I'll give you some tips on how to pick out the best wooden chair for your home.

1. Chair style

Before you start your search, it's vital to think about what style of chair would fit into your home. There are many different styles of chairs that will look great in a variety of settings and it's important to choose the one that is most appropriate for your space.

  • Classic: If you have an antique dining room table or an antique sideboard, then a classic styled wooden chair can add warmth and elegance to the space. A country-style wooden armchair with four legs and a padded seat is another option if you're looking for traditional furniture pieces that don't compromise on comfort but still blend seamlessly into today's lifestyles.

  • Modern: A modern style wooden chair can be found in many different shapes, sizes and colors—they're designed with comfort in mind but will still add style to any room they're placed within. Metal frames are popular materials used by designers when creating modern chairs since metal doesn't warp or crack over time like wood does which makes metal chairs very long lasting compared

to other types available on the market today!

2. Chair function

  • How will you use the chair?

  • Is it for indoor or outdoor use?

  • Is it for a child or adult?

  • What is the size of the room or area where you want to place the chair?

  • Will it be used for dining, extra seating, vanity stool, etc.?

3. Chair comfort

  • Look for a chair with good back support. The best way to make sure your chair has this is to sit in it before you buy it, or at least try it out in the store. If your back feels supported and comfortable when you lean forward and rest against its back, then that's a sign of good lumbar support.

  • Search for a chair with high armrests as well; this will help keep your arms from falling asleep if you have them resting on them for an extended period of time (which can happen if the seat isn't wide enough).

  • Don't get fooled by fancy appearances! No matter how attractive a wooden chair looks on the outside, comfort should always come first—otherwise you'll have sore bottoms and bad backs when all else fails!

4. Chair material

The type of material the chair is made from can dramatically change its appearance and price.

  • Wooden chairs are a timeless choice for many homeowners. They come in a variety of styles, sizes, and colors to match any décor.

  • Leather wooden chairs are another popular option because they offer that classic look with a modern twist. Their leather upholstery adds warmth and comfort while still being durable enough to withstand potential spills or stains that may happen throughout the years. If you're looking for something more unique than what's readily available at your local furniture store, then consider purchasing an antique wooden chair instead—they're often handmade by artisans who understand the importance of preserving old craftsmanship techniques like woodworking or metalworking; this makes them perfect for those looking for something truly unique!

5. Chair durability

Wooden chair and desk

A good, solid chair will last you years and years. You want to make sure that your wooden chair is made from high quality materials, with joints that are glued and screwed together. This ensures it won’t come apart at the first sign of wear and tear. A durable wood type is also important—you don’t want a chair made from pine or cedar (both soft woods), because they can warp easily with water stains from spills or rain. Hardwoods like oak remain strong even when exposed to moisture in the air for long periods of time, making them ideal for furniture that gets a lot of use like dining chairs.

6. Wood type

When picking a wood type, you have the choice between hardwoods and softwoods. Hardwoods are those that come from deciduous trees and include oak, cherry and apple wood. Softwoods are coniferous trees like pine and spruce.

The type of wood you choose will have an impact on your chair's durability, appearance and cost. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to choosing the best option for your needs; it's more about what you prefer than anything else. If you want something strong but with a lighter look, then oak would be ideal for an office chair; however if you want something with more character then walnut may be better suited to your tastes.

Use this article to help you find the perfect wooden chair for your home!

If you’ve ever been in a situation where you desperately want to bring home a new piece of furniture, but find yourself paralyzed by indecision and unable to make a decision, this article is for you.

A wooden chair can add warmth and style to any room.
